The dial signed by John Dyar (1795-1850), Concord, Massachusetts, 1810-1820
With gilt acorn finial above a circular brass bezel opening to a white- painted dial with Arabic chapter ring and inscribed "Warranted by J. Dyar Concord" over a tapering throat with eglomise panel flanked by scrolled brass elements above a box base with an eglomise panel decorated with a country seat and inscribed "Mount Vernon"
