The oval padded back, part-padded arms and bowed seat covered in 18th Century Aubusson tapestry depicting, on the seatback, a shepherdess and on the seat, a rabbit and a spaniel within acanthus husks on a trelliswork ground and surrounded by scrolling foliage, the oval back carved with ribbon-and-stick centred by an acanthus spray, above slightly outcurved arms, carved with entrelac, on acanthus leaf-wrapped supports, and ribboned seatrail on turned tapering stop-fluted legs, toupie feet, the tapestry coverings worn, both stamped 'J.LECHARTIER', restorations, regilt, later blocks (2)
