etching with drypoint and burin, circa 1649, second (final) state, on stout laid paper, watermark Fleur-de-Lis, a later, worn impression just prior to the Baillie re-work, with rust-spotting to the figure at left and to the foreground, with margins, mount stained, a small stain in the blank area above the spectators on the right, scattered pale foxing in the margins, a pen and ink inscription in the lower margin 'The state of the plate when it came into Capt. Baillie's hands', traces of glue at the sheet edges verso
