etching, second state (of three), with the inscription but before the numbering, watermark Triple Crescent, with wide margins, a deckle edge at the top and right, a few short tears and nicks at the sheet edges, a small repaired spot in the inscription, some very pale foxing mainly in the margins, three old horizontal folds, two further old vertical folds in the right margin, well away from the subject, otherwise generally in good condition
