etching, on laid with part of an elaborate crest watermark, deckle edges to the right and upper sheet edges, minor traces of printer's ink, one or two spots of foxing, a thin strip of light staining along the lower sheet edge; with one other impression of the same subject, apparently in the same state, but a more cleanly wiped impression, without the pronounced surface tone towards the top of the impression illustrated
