Lot Essay

The 1925 Grand National was held on Friday, 27 March. The winner was Mr D. Goold's 'Double Chance', ridden by Major J.P. Wilson, four lengths from the favorite, Mrs. W.H. Dixon's 'Old Tay Bridge'. The winning colours were silver grey with copper sleeves and cap.
