This card-table has elongated scrolls at the top of the legs, an Irish characteristic, and it bears the traces of a black varnish, applied extensively on Irish furniture during the 19th Century.

The rounded eared hinged top enclosing a green baize-lined interior above a plain frieze, on cabriole legs headed by shells and claw-and-ball feet, traces of earlier black varnish, the feet with traces of gilding, two ears replaced, inscribed in chalk '54'
