Circa 1560, unmarked except for later Dutch control mark, stem possibly reduced
On domed spreading foot with flat gadrooned border, engraved with bands of buildings, scrolling foliage and animals, the upper part with strapwork, the corded support to the cup repoussé and chased with foliage, the nut enclosed within three caryatid straps and carved with scenes of Adam and Eve, The Creation of Eve, The Garden of Eden, and The Expulsion, the shoulder engraved with a stag hunt, with corded band above, the flared lip engraved with foliate strapwork and scrolls, marked on foot and rim with control mark
