This edition is closely related to the following lot, even sharing typesettings of some pages or parts of pages. Unlike the following lot, multiple-piece ornamental and historiated borders have been added to each page, except those with large metalcuts. The metalcuts belong to a series not described by Davies, although used in Davies 274 (see following lot). Two of the cuts (one Annunciation, Annunciation to the Shepherds) are full-page. As often, all the cuts are painted to a rectangular format, obscuring the oval medallion frame beneath. Closely related to, but not identical with, Lacombe 377; not in Brunet Heures.
