Paris: Antoine de Sommaville, 1636. FIRST EDITION of this rare book, especially sought after for its Traicté de l'unguent sympathique. Caillet 10270 'Rare et curieux'; Duveen p.235 (bound with another edition of the above). 2 works in one volume, 8° (164 x 96mm). (Some browning and spotting in both works.) Mid 17th-century French calf, gilt spine (a few signs of wear).

WECKER, Johann Jacob. Les secrets et merveilles de nature. Rouen: Theodore Reinsart, 1608. 8° (163 x 102mm). Woodcut device on title, a few woodcut illustrations and diagrams. (Title slightly defective and backed, final blank pasted down, preceding leaf a little creased and torn, some spotting.) Contemporary vellum (somewhat darkened). This edition not in Caillet, Duveen or Ferguson. (3)
