2 volumes, 8° (158 x 105mm). Engraved frontispiece portrait of Charles II in volume I. Engraved frontispiece in volume II with leaf of 'Explanation.' 56 engraved portraits, including some extra illustrations, one double-page. (Titles restored at margin, a washed copy.) Straight-grained green morocco gilt by Rivière, gilt edges. Provenance: Pickering and Co. (laid-in letter, dated 30 Dec. [18]79, guaranteeing completeness of the text, and stating that the number of plates is correct according to the plate list, though the plates vary between copies).

Wing H-1319; together with 16 other volumes, one volume containing 12 civil war newspapers, another containing 7 civil war tracts, also including Jacques Gaffarel Unheard of Curiosities, London: G.D. for Humphrey Moseley, 1650, 8°, early 19th-century calf.
