2 parts in one volume, 4° (185 x 131mm). First title with large woodcut vignette, second title with woodcut device, woodcut illustrations and initials. (First title and following 7 leaves short at lower margin and possibly supplied from another copy, also a little soiled and stained, D1 with repair at outer margin, quire Q onwards affected by marginal worming, becoming less severe but persisting in the second part, final 2 leaves of the first part cropped at upper margin, some stains at lower margin and inner gutter.) Early 20th-century brown morocco, panelled in gilt and blind, t.e.g. Provenance: George Mamony (early inscription on first title); Barnton (armorial bookplate).

Second edition. There were two issues of the first part in 1614 and 1615, while the second part appeared some years later in 1618. Schwerdt describes the second edition as 'identical to the first,' while Harting notes its superiority to the 'smaller and less desirable editions' of 1653 and 1658. Harting 20; Schwerdt I, p. 302; STC 15267.7 and 15268.7.
