PRINTED ON VELLUM. 4° (262 x 195mm). Half-title printed in red, title printed in red and black. Introduction and editorial matter printed in roman type, text printed in gothic type. Woodcut ornament. (Occasional light marginal marking.) Contemporary red crushed morocco, the covers with gilt supralibros of Robert Curzon, titled in gilt on the spine, blind-ruled turn ins, uncut (extremities lightly rubbed, head of spine lightly marked). Provenance: John Butler, second Marquis of Ormonde (1808-1854, editor, gift to); Robert Curzon, 14th Baron Zouche (1810-1873, inscription on upper pastedown 'R. Curzon. Parham. 1853. this copy only, on vellum. Given to me by the Marquis of Ormonde', manuscript note recording the gift and the death of Ormonde tipped onto front free endleaf, supralibros on covers).

UNIQUE COPY PRINTED ON VELLUM. THE GIFT OF THE EDITOR TO ROBERT CURZON, BARON ZOUCHE, the manuscript collector, bibliophile, and author. Curzon's manuscript collection was deposited on loan at the British Museum, and the printed books were sold in Lady Zouche's sale at Sotheby's, 9 November 1920.
