A Cosway-style binding in later blue morocco gilt, upper cover with inset original rectangular portrait miniature of Marguerite, the miniature surrounded with gilt design of dots, small circles and stylised scrolling foliage and flower-heads, all within an outer border of quadruple fillets, the lower cover with simple single fillet outer border, the spine in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second, the others with repeat decoration of foliage and flower-heads, gilt turn-ins, watered-silk endleaves, gilt edges.
