Etched frontispiece, additional title and 38 plates by and after Hablot Knight Browne (scattered light spotting and browning on text of some parts, a few leaves and plates with neatly repaired clean marginal tears, that on K3 touching the text, variable browning on the frontispiece, additional title and plates, mainly light but heavier in parts VI, XI, XIII, XVII and XIX/XX.) Original printed wrappers with pictorial woodcut borders after Browne, 20th-century cloth covered box titled in gilt on the spine (some wrappers a little marked or spotted, frayed at the edges, or with skilfully-repaired tears, all parts skilfully restored on the spines or rebacked). Provenance: occasional inscriptions on upper wrappers.
