2 volumes, 2° (317 x 189mm). Titles with woodcut vignettes by and after John Buckland-Wright. Collotype frontispieces and manuscript facsimile. Green and purple morocco gilt designed by Buckland-Wright and executed by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, the boards decorated with gilt bee tools and vertical gilt fillets, the spines titled in gilt and decorated with gilt bee and press device tools, cartographic endpapers after de Chair, top edges gilt, the others uncut (board edges lightly rubbed, spines slightly faded and marked).

LIMITED TO 500 SETS, THIS NUMBER 36 OF 50 SPECIALLY-BOUND COPIES SIGNED BY DE CHAIR AND WITH A COLLOTYPE FACSIMILE. Sandford notes that, 'the bindings of the ''special'' copies were perhaps the best to be found on any Cockerel book up to date, and could hardly be repeated, owing to the current scarcity of gold'.
