Late 19th-century crushed red morocco gilt by Chambolle-Duru, the covers elaborately gilt with borders of foliate, shell and mask tools, the spine gilt in 6 compartments, lettered in 2, the others decorated with mask tools within frames, roll-tooled gilt turn-ins, blue morocco doublures with elaborate strapwork borders and foliate cornerpieces, red watered silk endleaves, gilt edges (extremities lightly rubbed, corners bumped).
