Engraved author portrait frontispiece after Rigaud and 8 engraved plates by Delvaux, Mariage, Bosq, and others, after Moreau. (Some light spotting.) Blue morocco gilt, leafy tool, love-birds and quiver loosely forming a triangle, spine similarly tooled with birds and arrow at centre of compartments, blue watered silk liners , gilt edges, signed by Zaehnsdorf on front turn-in. Provenance: Sophie Hall-Walker (bookplate). LARGE-PAPER COPY retaining deckle edges. The volume forms part of La Fontaine's Oeuvres, published in a steroetype edition by Renouard.

Citron straight-grained morocco gilt, panel with shaped corner compar tments with turquoise morocco on-lays on a pointillé ground, flat spine with lilac on-lays on a pointillé ground, top edge gilt, signed Zaehnsdorf on front turn-in. - and 5 others in the lot, finely bound in morocco and signed by Zaehnsdorf. Sold as a group of bindings, not subject to return. (7)
