Large 4° (360 x 288mm). 13 hand-coloured aquatint plates. (Abbey's plate 11 'Railway Office, Liverpool' supplied from the 1833 edition, small neatly repaired marginal tears to title and following leaf.) Red morocco gilt by Zaehnsdorf, covers with triple fillet border, spine in three unequal compartments with raised bands, titled in the central compartment.
FIRST EDITION: a second edition with the same images but altered imprint was published in 1833. Abbey Life 400.
