2 volumes, 2° (393 x 251mm). Titles printed in red and black. Engraved portrait, 9 engraved plates of coins etc, 51 double-page engraved maps, most by Robert Morden, Kent and Norfolk folding. (Kent browned, the two maps of Scotland, Hertfordshie and Worcestershire shaved into plate area.) Contemporary speckled calf (neatly rebacked). Hodson I, 170.

Second edition of Gibson's translation, a reissue of the 1722 edition, published in 1730, with two new titles. Awnsham Churchill died in 1728 and the copyright to The Britannia was purchased by the 10 booksellers listed on the title page. Shares in Britannia continued to be offered in trade sales up to 1761.
