Coloured frontispiece, maps and illustrations, EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED with c.950 portraits, views, newspaper clippings and including several autograph letters from Warwick Wroth to Mr Waters. (Some browning and spotting). Green half morocco by Morrell, top edges gilt. Provenance: Arthur W. Waters (bookplate dated 1904, signature on front endpaper dated 1903, with note by Waters, 'Many of these cuttings come from the Wroth Collection'; together with 4 other extra-illustrated works in 9 volumes on London including W. Rendle and P. Norman, The Inns of Old Southwark. (London, 1888) and Ernest Law, The History of Hampton Court Palace (London, 1885, 3 vols in 6). (12)
