Finely modelled as a bearded official and his wife, the gentleman wearing a violet coat revealing only the lower quarter of a colourfully striped inner robe and fronted with an embroidered square to designate his rank, his bald head covered by an official hat in the Manzhu style, his wife holding a fan and dressed in a blue coat over a cream and black robe all richly embroidered with floral designs, her hair tied up with pins, minor restoration
