An oak panel back armchair, probably West Country, late 17th century
with an interlocking scroll carved top-rail and rosette filled interlacing quatrefoil motif to the panel, with arms on ring-turned supports, the seat with gouged edging and moulded rails, on block and turned legs joined by stretchers -- 40in. (102cm.) high, 17½in. (44cm.) high to seat
