Lot Essay

Edward, first Earl of Kingston (1726-1797) was created Baron Kingston of Rockingham, 13 July 1764, Viscount Kingsborough, 15 November 1766 and Earl of Kingston, 25 August 1768. He married Jane, daughter of Thomas Caulfield of Donamon, County Roscommon and they had two children, Robert who became the second earl, and Jane who later married the first Earl of Rosse.
