With curved watered single-edged blade (small patches of discolouration) decorated on one side with two gold-inlaid cartouches containing Persian inscriptions (small patches of discolouration), iron hilt of characteristic form decorated throughout with gold-damascened running foliage, rounded rhinoceros-horn grip-scales, and original shagreen-covered wooden scabbard with iron mounts including two suspension mounts, decorated throughout with further gold-damascened running foliage, the locket and chape enriched with gilt sunbursts (minor wear to damascening)
