A German Two-Hand Processional Sword
Early 17th Century
With flattened waved blade widening towards the point and with low medial ridge on each side, blackened slender ricasso with pointed downcurved lug on each side, blackened iron hilt of bars of diamond section with incised panels of scalework, drooping quillons each terminating in three scrolls, ring-guard each enclosing a fleur-de-lys on each side, segmented plummet-shaped pommel incised with scrolls and slashes, and moulded three-stage grip retaining much of its original leather covering (the bottom section replaced)

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Monday following the sale and every week-day from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE SALE.

On the Friday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £17.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.00 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
