Partly mid-16th Century
With tapering double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section with three short fullers on each side of the forte, iron half-basket guard of flattened bars with straight triangular-ended quillons and inner thumb-ring (broken), the outer bars with punched and incised decoration (worn), shaped pommel of octagonal section, and leather-covered grip
