With octagonal sighted barrels cut with eight grooves and signed in silver at the breeches, gold-lined touch-holes, plain tang, signed border engraved locks each with roller, raised pan, and safety-catch (left mainspring and safety-catch missing), lightly carved figured walnut half-stock, cheek-piece, chequered grip and fore-end, plain shaped brass mounts, iron sling mounts, small silver escutcheon, and horn-tipped ramrod, the butt-plate numbered '1'
