A Pair Of Fingered Elbow-Gauntlets
Second quarter of the 17th Century, probably English
Of bright steel, each with two-piece elbow-length cuff with turned roped border at the rear edge, four articulated lames linking the cuff to a shaped finger base-plate, overlapping finger-scales riveted to leathers, and hinged thumb-defence with similar scales (some scales replaced, releathered, minor pitting throughout)
