The first with three-stage turn-off cannon barrel numbered '1', signed border engraved action decorated with rococo ornament (top jaw and screw replaced, steel re-seated), border engraved thumbpiece safety-catch, engraved trigger-guard (pitted), flat-sided figured walnut butt inlaid with silver wire scrollwork, and border engraved silver escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks; the second with signed engraved brass action (jaw-screw replaced), engraved iron trigger-guard, and flat-sided walnut butt, Birmingham proof marks
