With rebrowned twist sighted barrels numbered '2' and signed in gold on the rib, engraved patent breeches each with platinum plug, scroll engraved tang, signed scroll engraved locks, figured walnut half-stock (ramrod entry filled), chequered grip, fore-end and butt (all rechequered, butt-plate removed during working life), engraved steel mounts including reblued serial numbered trigger-guard engraved with a pointer and a pheasant in flight, and silver escutcheon engraved with a later monogram, London proof marks
