A Pair Of 18-Bore Turkish Flintlock Box-Lock Pistols In The English Manner
Late 18th Century
With fixed three-stage cannon barrels, breeches engraved with foliage and trophies of arms, chequered brass actions each engraved with stars on the tang (one cock replaced), swelling walnut butts each inlaid with silver wire scrolls with small brass leaves and a white metal moon and star on the pommel, chequered brass trigger-guards, triggers each with exposed sear-spring, and brass escutcheons engraved with stars (some pitting to iron parts)
