A Pair Of 18-Bore Balkan Flintlock Holster Pistols In The German Manner

With swamped twist Turkish barrels decorated over most of their length with silver-inlaid lines and stylised flower-heads, and with raised panels gold-damascened with arabesques, flower-heads, dots and stars at each muzzle and breech, flat bevelled locks decorated with raised gold-damascened arabesques (one top jaw and screw replaced), walnut full stocks (minor defects) profusely inlaid with white metal wire enclosing pewter (?) pellets and on the butts with small shaped mother-of-pearl plaques, white metal mounts cast and chased in relief in the Carlsbad manner, the side-plates decorated with a wolf beset by hounds, engraved white metal fore-end caps, and wooden ramrods
