The first by William 1 Wilson, London, Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1789, the second by Henry New, Birmingham, the last signed Lowe, Chester, both early 19th Century
The first with (later ?) side-by-side turn-off barrels numbered '10' and '11', signed engraved action (cock, steel, and tap-lever replaced), engraved thumbpiece safety-catch also locking the steel, engraved trigger-guard, swelling flat-sided figured walnut butt, silver shield-shaped escutcheon, and silver lion and rampart pommel, London proof marks, silver maker's mark of Charles Freeth; the second with turn-off barrel retaining some original blued finish, signed engraved action marked 'London', raised pan, thumbpiece safety-catch also locking the steel, folding trigger, figured walnut butt chequered along the spine, and silver escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks; the last similar (folding trigger mechanism defective), Birmingham proof marks
