With tapering barrels each with an applied turned brass ring at the muzzle, signed on an inlaid brass panel, and engraved with foliage and a flower-head enclosing an inset brass portrait medallion on the breech, the rear with inlaid brass bands, engraved tangs, plain flat locks with moulded border, figured moulded rootwood full stocks (some cracks, bruising and repairs), shaped brass mounts engraved with foliage and scrollwork on a dotted ground including spurred pommels, and elaborate escutcheons (one incomplete) extending up the barrel tang, turned faceted brass ramrod-pipes, and brass-tipped ramrods, probably original
