The first 13th Century, probably English, the second Roman, 3rd/4th Century A.D.
Each in excavated condition, the first of iron, with slender downcurved heel-band with figure-eight terminals, and short straight neck with goad of elongated pyramidal shaped; the second of brass, with flat heel-band with square open terminals and small downcurved goad
