The first a rectangular mount from a wooden cabinet, embossed with a scene showing ancient Roman cavalry riding past an encampment, in the foreground a sentry with a caliver; the second chiselled in very high relief with figures of Bacchus and Ariadne embracing over the heads of two putti-bacchante with a basket of grapes; the third of blued steel, the lyre-shaped bow formed of open foliated scrolls, the barrel with heart-shaped bore
