Lot Essay

Galopin by Vendette out of the Flying Dutchman was foaled in 1872. He ran eleven times in his career and was only officially beaten once, his most important win being the 1875 Derby. He later proved an outstanding stallion siring, among others St. Simon, Donovan and Galliard.
