Lot Essay

Francis Owen (1747-1774), M.P., second son of William Owen of Porkington, Clenneney, Glyn and Llanddyn and his wife Mary, sister and sole heiress-at-law of last Lord Godolphin of Heston. He died unmarried. For a miniature of his elder brother, Robert Godolphin Owen, see lot 60.
