CLOS MIMI
Clos Mimi is a new microwinery producing Syrah sourced from vineyards near Paso Robles. The debut vintage was 1996, which 1500 bottles and 48 magnums were produced. In the 1997 vintage, owner/winemaker Tim Spear took advantage of superripe fruit to create a tiny quantity of late harvest Syrah inspired by legendary winemaker Henri Bonneau's "Cuvée Spéciale." A total of 295 bottles were of this wine, named "Étiquette Rouge" were produced; the bottles offered in this auction are the first to be released.
