Brilliant marketing backed up by brilliant winemaking made Warren Winiarski's "Cask 23" one of California's first cult wines. Offered below are grand formats, including a double magnum of the 1997, pre-release. In addition to a case of magnums of Beckstoffer Chardonnay 1996, the winery is offering a full case of the first release of Arcadia Vineyard Chardonnay, from a vineyard site just east of the town of Napa. Taking advantage of the cool climate and marine soils of the site, winemaker Michael Silacci aims for a Grand Cru Chablis style, with no new oak employed, and malolactic fermentation restricted to a small percentage of the blend.
