An English bone model of the 74 gun HMS Resolution, circa 1928
With bound masts, yards, foot ropes and standing rigging, the prow carved with a male figurehead, the carved stern with quarter gallery, the sides each with forty one open gun ports, in an ebonised wood and glazed case, a plaque inscribed Presented to J.C. AKERMAN By his colleagues on the staff of the The Times, Dec 15th 1928 -- 36¾in. (93.3cm.) long overall, 27¾in. (70.5cm.) high overall, 18½in. (47cm.) deep overall
