A Portuguese colonial tortoiseshell veneered and white metal mounted casket, 19th century
With repoussé foliate plaques applied to the centres and corners, swing handles to the ends (one detached), on four turned wood toupie feet (probably later), the interior also tortoiseshell lined -- 8½in. (21.6cm.) wide, 41/8in. (10.5cm.) high, 5½in. (14cm.) deep
