painted with a white and tan terrier standing on a carpet, one forepaw raised beside a letter, a pair of gloves and a riding-crop, incised numerals, impressed marks, in giltwood frame, the backboard indistinctly inscribed and dated Watt 1888 and with paper label for Carl Schmidt Porzellan Malerie Institut Bamberg, (slight rubbing to the edges), the plaque -- 15.5cm x 11.5cm

Provenance
Reputed to have passed by descent to the present owner from a member of the family in service at Windsor Castle.
