Buick built their first car in 1903 and the company became the cornerstone of the new General Motors conglomerate created by William C Durant in 1908. By 1923 the growth in sales saw the millionth Buick leaving the factory. It was a remarkable success story that was to continue through the 1920s, while the marque refined its image as a quality car for the well-to-do professional owner-driver. At the heart of the Buick's ascent was its finely-engineered, overhead valve, six cylinder power units, the first of which was introduced in 1915, as a reliable 5.4 litre overhead valve motor providing an abundance of power. With manufacturing policy controlled by GM under the presidency of Pierre S. Dupont, who had replaced Durant, the range was simplified, the six cylinder unit going into just two sizes of chassis. But with seven Fisher Company body-styles available, together with many paint and trim options, the possibilities were endless. Given an engine so flexible that, once moving, gear changing was unnecessary under most driving conditions, the six-cylinder Buick was one automobile that lived up to the salesman's easy-driving promises.

This particular car is believed to have been originally delivered to Sweden, although not much is known of its history, except that it had remained in good original order. It is presented in fully restored condition, resplendent in rich dark burgundy paintwork with black wings. It also features matching black interior trim and well-fitted lined hood. The full restoration carried out to the highest exacting standards to original manufacturer's specification, makes this imposing model a fine example of this large and powerful touring car.

The car is duty-paid in the EC but would require registration with the DVLA in Swansea if purchased for use in the UK.
