Feather-banded overall, the associated rectangular moulded top above two panelled divided, glazed doors, enclosing two columns of three adjustable shelves, the hinged writing-slope enclosing a fitted interior, with eight pigeon-holes and three double-arched drawers flanked by two concave-fronted drawers, above a sliding panel revealing a well, with a secret panel revealing a small recess, the writing- surface lined with brown velvet, the lower section with double moulding, above two short and two long graduated drawers, on a moulded plinth with later bun feet, plugged holes to the front of the drawers, one long drawer previously fitted, the top of the bureau section scored for a veneer
