the first marked with the Cyrillic initials of Ivan Futikin, Moscow, 1879; the second marked with the Cyrillic initials of Vasilii Rukavishnikov, Moscow, circa 1890
Oblong, the first of rounded section, decorated overall with foliate scrolls, the hinged cover with roundel enclosing engraved Cyrillic initials V.G., gilt interior, the second similarly decorated, the cover with roundel enclosing applied cypher the corners further applied with a cypher, both with match compartment and tinder cord apperture, marked inside covers and bases
