A large jewelled, silver-gilt and enamel kovsh and ladle
marked with Cyrillic initials possibly for Fedor Rückert, Moscow, 1908-1917
Of traditional form, in the pan-Slavic style, on ribbed circular foot with enamel bands of stylized waves and geometric motifs, the body repoussé and with the face of a bogatyr at the raised prow, and with foliate and floral scrolls on black ground between shaped bands of stylized foliage in compartments on grounds of blues and greens, the shaped rim with scroll and geometric motifs, embellished with red and green cabochon stones, on brown ground, the angular shaped handle with similar decorations, the ladle with hook handle, en suite, marked under bases
