A RARE .40 WARNER'S PATENT OPEN FRAME GROOVED CYLINDER REVOLVING RIFLE, SERIAL NO. 27 ABOUT 1849
The part round, part octagonal barrel (shortened with replacement fore-sight) marked 27 on the under-side, open-type frame marked 27 with scroll etched hand-rotating cylinder with hook type cylinder catch, walnut stock with brass patch box, iron crescent butt plate.

Quantities made are estimated in the range of 50 to 100. Carbines of this type are generally found in well used condition.
