An assortment of items of a Victorian officer's uniform, as follows: a good Full Dress sword-belt of red leather with white metal fittings and silver-embroidered ornamentation, complete with its sword-slings and two of its original three sabretache-slings; a fine red leather Full Dress sabretache with scarlet cloth flap edged with silver "Basket and Vellum" lace and bearing massive Crown and Rose in gold and silver embroidery respectively, complete with its red Morocco leather foul-weather cover; a red leather pouch, also with silver-laced scarlet flap bearing ornaments as on the sabretache (significant area of cloth missing from the face and edges of the flap) also with foul-weather cover; a fine set of gold cord cap-lines with acorn finials; a good busby-plume of black hair over scarlet vulture feather base, with its cylindrical metal tin (but lacking socket); a pair of Full Dress shoulder-cords of plaited silver chain-gimp and a pair of mess-jacket shoulder-cords, of plaited silver cord, both pairs bearing badges of rank in gold embroidery; a gold cord sword-knot; a scarlet mess-waistcoat, edged and trimmed with silver Russia braid, fastened in front with 22 white metal half-ball buttons, framed by a row of French braid; the remains of a Full Dress jacket and pelisse, the corded fronts only, each pair bearing approximately 23 loops of silver cord and two rows of half-ball buttons, the left fronts of both garments also bearing a row of full-ball buttons; two rows of 1¼in. Bias and Stand lace, removed from Full Dress trousers, and two rows of 5/8in. lace, of the same pattern, with a quantity of Russia braid, evidently removed from a pair of levée pantaloons; an exceptionally fine pair of straight-necked white metal box-spurs by Thomas & Son, St James's St., bearing chased Rose ornamentation, in their velvet-lined fitted leather case; a black patent-leather Undress sword-belt with white metal fittings as for the Full Dress belt, complete with sword-slings and sabretache-slings; a fine black patent-leather sabretache mounted with a massive Rose in white metal; and an extremely handsome Undress pouch, the patent leather flap bound with white metal and bearing a Rose ornament; a large tin for a sabretache of earlier design (hinges broken) and sundry minor items.
